Our origins
A family project that grew through collaboration.
A simple yet ambitious idea
To teach music in a close and personalised way, bringing together technique, creativity and artistic experience.
Interartes grew from the vision of guitarist and educator Jorge Lee, who imagined a space where music and music technology education could be experienced in a creative, human and professional way.
Alongside him, Helena Lee led the administrative and financial coordination from the outset, bringing consistency, balance and continuity to the project's growth.
From the very first day, this vision was also driven by Cícero Lee and Miguel Marques, both instrumental in shaping the school's artistic, pedagogical and technological identity.

He contributed to the school's technical development and to the innovative integration of technology in the service of music.
Students and friends joined this founding group, and their support was decisive in launching the school. The energy of that first team left a mark that remains part of Interartes' culture today.

The school currently has eleven soundproofed and climate-controlled classrooms and rehearsal rooms, a professional recording studio and equipment that allows students to experience a real-world artistic environment.
