Courses, ages and first steps
Choosing the right programme and understanding how to get started.
What programmes and courses does Interartes offer?
The range includes Early Childhood Music, the Initial Instrument Programme, the Instrument Course, the Certified Instrument Course, Audio and Music Production, Music in the Classroom, Choir, and other occasional courses or projects.

Does the school accept students of all ages?
Yes. There are programmes for babies, children, young people and adults. Age helps determine the most suitable pathway, but students do not need to have started learning music as children.
Can I start with no musical experience?
Yes. The programmes are designed to welcome complete beginners. The starting point, pace of progression and goals are adapted to each student.
How do I choose the most suitable instrument or course?
The initial conversation helps us understand the student’s interests, age, experience, availability and goals. Where necessary, the team may recommend an assessment session or an exploratory period before defining the learning pathway.
Can I visit the school before enrolling?
Yes. You can arrange a visit or speak with the team. Assessment sessions and any trial lessons depend on the programme and current availability.

Enrolment, timetables and payments
Practical information about joining, day-to-day operation and organisation.
How do I enrol?
The first step is to complete the contact form, call us or send a WhatsApp message. Once the programme, available place, teacher and timetable have been confirmed, the enrolment details are finalised.
Does enrolment cover the full academic year?
For regular programmes, enrolment normally covers the academic year. Short courses, certified training and holiday activities have their own schedules and conditions.
How do fees and payments work?
Fees and payment arrangements depend on the selected programme. For regular courses, monthly fees are paid according to the regulations and agreed plan; short courses follow the payment schedule defined for each course.
Can I change my timetable during the year?
Yes, provided there is compatible teacher and room availability. The school will try to find a solution, but cannot guarantee that all the conditions originally selected can be maintained.
How do absences and replacement lessons work?
Replacement lessons follow the regulations applicable to the programme and depend on the reason for the absence, advance notice and availability. Lessons cancelled by the school or teacher are handled in accordance with those rules.

Methodology, levels and assessment
How technical, musical and artistic progression is organised.
What does structured learning mean?
It means working towards progressive goals through defined content, suitable repertoire, regular support, and links between instrumental practice, listening, theory, creativity and artistic experience.
How do the Instrument Course levels work?
The Instrument Course for children and young people is organised from Levels I to VIII. The Certified Instrument Course for students aged 16+ and adults is organised from Levels I to V. Placement at the appropriate level depends on age, experience and an initial assessment.
Are students assessed throughout the year?
Yes. Assessment is continuous and formative, with observation, progress goals and, where applicable, practical or theory assessments. The format varies according to the programme and the student’s age.
Do students receive feedback on their progress?
Yes. Support includes regular feedback and the definition of next goals. Structured pathways may also include progress records, assessments or documents suited to the level and programme.
Do certified courses lead to a certificate?
Yes. For training covered by DGERT certification, successful completion allows the corresponding certificate to be issued through SIGO, in accordance with the conditions of each course.

Performances and artistic experience
Performance as a gradual part of the learning process.
Are there public performances?
Yes. The school organises auditions and recitals throughout the year, as well as concerts, workshops and special projects. Participation is adapted to each student’s pathway, age and preparation.
Is participation in performances compulsory?
Not in every programme, but it is strongly recommended when the teacher considers the student ready. Performing develops confidence, responsibility, listening skills and communication.
Do students have opportunities to play in groups?
Yes. Depending on the level and programme, there may be ensembles, combos, choir, band projects or other group activities. These experiences complement individual work.

Facilities, services and contact
Resources available at the school and ways to get support.
What facilities and equipment are available?
Interartes has 11 rooms equipped for different instruments and activities, with pianos, drum kits, amplification, supporting instruments and other teaching resources.
Does the school have a recording studio?
Yes. The studio comprises four work and recording rooms, including a live room of approximately 30 m², as well as professional audio and video equipment.
Can students book rooms for practice?
Yes, subject to request, availability and usage rules. Bookings must be confirmed with reception.
Can external musicians use the studio and rooms?
Yes. Recording, video and room hire services are available, subject to booking, availability, technical requirements and a separate quotation.
